With the help of a 1:10 model of Bildraum 07, using direct exposures, various photographic papers and several rolls of duct tape, Mara Novak creates abstracted camera obscura shots of the exhibition space in her studio, which she translates into so-called "display sculptures" and wall objects. Novak's works are on the one hand concrete, spatial and material, but at the same time appear delicate, unstable and ephemeral. Instead of leading us into distant inner or outer worlds, the works take us back to the place that helped define their creation - to the place that these images have always orbited.
